This speech from the Science Minister, Mr Chris Skidmore MP, on R&D funding in the UK is worth a read. It is the first in a series of speeches addressing how the UK intends to reach its 2.4% target of R&D spend by 2027. This focuses on nurturing and attracting talent, and integrating Academia with Industry, which is a good starting point. The only thing I would say is that I hope the next speeches address how to ensure innovators are efficiently receiving the funding they need and are entitled to, including being made aware of the schemes/grants/programmes on offer.
